Symptoms

SBL-DAT-00563: An error occurred checking the checksum of the security adapter library. Please contact your system administrator for assistance.

Cause

Security Adapter checksum needs to be regenerated if there have been changes to the .dll in the specific Fix Pack or Quick Fix being installed.

Solution

This is intended behavior and there is no "permanent fix" possible. If there are any changes to the security adapter .dll, the checksum value changes. It is a documented post installation task (as discussed in the Release Guide) that the checksum has to be recalculated and updated. Siebel Fix Packs and Quick Fixes do not modify values stored in the .srf file.

Your other option would be to disable checksum validation for the security adapter. This is done by doing a delete parameter override in the security adapter profile you are using.

(1) Siebel Error Message SBL-DAT-00563: An error occurred checking the checksum of the security adapter library. Please contact your system administrator for assistance
(2) 38-3097108425 - SWSE does not work after upgrade to 7.7.2.6

******Resolution******

As customer had configured DB authentication and not ADSI, the resolution entailed
re-generating the checksum on the DLL used for DB Authentication and entering this value into the CRC for the Enterprise Profile Configuration.
