Symptoms

Hi

When trying to edit a workflow in 800x600 screen resolution, had the following error message:

The property 'Drop Sectors' must be set for this view.(SBL-DAT-00237)

The workflow editor did not open.

Please advise

Cause

Following Siebel basic standards, a view is natively designed for filling a 1024*768 screen and view “Drop Sector” property is aimed for specifying sectors to remove for fitting in a lower resolution (IE 800*600) screen.

The error (The property ‘Drop Sector’ must be set for this view) experienced is due to the fact the “Workflow Designer” view, which is used for displaying the Workflow editor is designed for being used in a 1024 * 768 resolution.

In the specific case of Tools, views are designed this way hence Drop Sectors are not set. Furthermore, Drop Sectors is not a feature that you may act on in this case since these views belong to the repository specific to Tools and should not be modified.

Solution

Message 1

For the benefit of other readers,

Since, this message is confusing, the Change Request number 12-1L73OBJ was logged for addressing this matter.

Since there is no drop sector functionality in Tools, there is no way for avoiding this limitation and there is no work around for using a 1024*768 resolution monitor for running Tools.
