SBL-DAT-00309: You do not have the privileges required to view detailed information for this record, or it has recently been deleted.

Applies to:

Error Message Area:Data Manager - DAT
Version:Siebel 7.5.3

Purpose

This document is intended to provide cause and corrective action information about Siebel Error Message SBL-DAT-00309: You do not have the required access privileges to view the detailed information about this record. Please contact your systems administrator or another member of the sales team if you would like further access to this record.

Scope

This document is informational and intended for any user.

SBL-DAT-00309: You do not have the required access privileges to view the detailed information about this record. Please contact your systems administrator or another member of the sales team if you would like further access to this record.

Explanation

This error generally occurs after trying to drill down on a record, or trying to access a bookmark to a specific record in a specific view. There are several possible causes, including:

1. The user does not have visibility to the record which the application is trying to display due to a data issue.

2. The configuration of the Drilldown Object or of the related view, applet, and business component prevents the user from seeing the record.

3. The configuration of the dynamic drilldown prevents the user from seeing the record.

4. Calendar Drilldown behavior has been customized, and you have given mobile clients access to each other's calendars.

5. The user has tried to drill down on a Mobile Client before extracting the user's local database.

6. The user has tried to use a bookmark that goes to a detail view.

7. The user was registering a Partner and did not check the Organization flag.

Corrective Action

1. Inspect the record where the user receives the error:
a. Determine if the user is on the access list for the record. To determine what controls the visibility of the record, review the BusComp View Modes set up for the business component and check the Visibility Field and Visibility MV Field properties.
b. Make sure there is at least one user on the access list for the record, especially if the record was imported using EIM or if you have customized the visibility settings for the related objects.
c. If the drilldown is on the same buscomp, any constraint on the original context of the buscomp, such as a query executed by the user, will be maintained.

2. In Siebel Tools, check the configuration of the drilldown, drilldown view and applet, and related business component to determine why the user does not have visibility to the drilldown record.
a. On the destination view, check the Visibility Applet and Visibility Applet Type properties. Check for a default PDQ, or a Search Specification defined on the driving applet or destination business component, which would prevent the user from seeing the drilldown record
b. On the Drilldown Object, check the following:
i. Visibility Type property on the Drilldown Object. For more information, refer to Siebel Bookshelf version 7.7 > Security Guide for Siebel eBusiness Applications > Configuring Access Control > Additional Access Control Mechanisms > Configuring Drilldown Visibility.
ii. Business Component setting on Drilldown Object
iii. Make sure the Hyperlink property is set.
iv. If you have defined the Source Field and Destination Field properties, make sure the field values will be an exact match. For example, if you use a non-System field that defaults to a Row Id, ensure that records created through EIM will have this field set appropriately.

3. If you have configured a dynamic drilldown, check the following in Siebel Tools:
a. The logic in the configuration of the dynamic drilldown must ensure that users will drill down to a view where they can see the records in question. Change Request 12-AF9AYF has been logged to request a product enhancement to suppress a dynamic drilldown if the user does not have visibility to the record.
b. The parent Drilldown Object should have Sequence = 1.
c. The destination view defined for the parent Drilldown Object should be available in the user's responsibilities.
d. The Field property on the Dynamic Drilldown Destination object must be active in the buscomp instance.
e. Check the Value property defined in the Dynamic Drilldown Destination object

For more information on the above suggestions, refer to Siebel Bookshelf version 7.7 > Object Types Reference > Siebel Object Types for the Drilldown Object, View, BusComp View Mode, Business Component, and Applet object types. Also refer to Siebel Bookshelf version 7.7 > Configuring Siebel eBusiness Applications > Configuring Screens and Views > About Drilldowns.

4. If you have customized the Calendar Drilldown behavior, make sure that you have followed the instructions given in Siebel Bookshelf version 7.7 > Applications Administration Guide > Calendar > About Configuring the Calendar > Calendar Drilldown. If you are giving mobile clients access to each other's calendars, set Visibility Type to All on the Drilldown Object.

5. You must extract a mobile client before you can drill down on the mobile client name. Change Request 12-CZQURK has been logged to request a better message in this circumstance.

6. Create bookmarks from list views instead of detail views. Change Request 12-IX1MDZ has been logged to address this product defect. For more information, refer to Release Notes > Siebel 7.7 > General > Web Framework.

7. When registering a Partner, you need to check the Organization flag. For more information, refer to Change Request 12-IKM10F in Release Notes > Siebel 7.7 > Partner Relationship Mgmt > Partner Manager.

Symptoms

Hi,

I am getting an error in accessing business component in Siebel Tools and in custom scripting that the Business Component does not exist.
Business Objects\Action (eService)\Action (Call Me Web Collab)

I logged into Tools as SADMIN to verify this and I received the error:
"You do not have the privileges required to view detailed information for this record, or it has recently been deleted.(SBL-DAT-00309)"
I clicked OK and then received,
"The drilled down item is invalid. It does not exist in the database".

I am also getting this error for the following BC's. Please see below BC and BO names

\Business Objects\Admin ISS Product Definition\Internal Product Image
\Business Objects\Action (eService)\FS PickList Parts & Tools
\Business Objects\Admin ISS Product Definition\Product Bundle - Quote
\Business Objects\Action (eService)\Action (Call Me Web Collab)

SBL-DAT-00171, SBL-DAT-00222, SBL-DAT-00309, SBL-DAT-00360
Please advise

thanks.

Cause

For the benefit of others:

The issue is that the Siebel Repository has references to obsolete objects.

Solution

Siebel Tools > Types Tab > Select Business Object object type > Query for the following BO's and Business Object Component objects:

\Business Objects\Admin ISS Product Definition\Internal Product Image
\Business Objects\Admin ISS Product Definition\Product Bundle - Quote
\Business Objects\Action (eService)\FS PickList Parts & Tools
\Business Objects\Action (eService)\Action (Call Me Web Collab)

If you drilldown on any one of the BCs related to Business Object Components, it will get the following error message:

You do not have the privileges required to view detailed information for this record, or it has recently been deleted.(SBL-DAT-00309)

If querying for the BC's mentioned above, they will not be retrieve in Business Components object type.

Resolution:

Change Request #12-1KMUK73 has been logged as a Documentation Defect.

Change Request #12-1KMUKBU has been logged as a Product Defect.

In CR #12-1KMUKBU, it was explained that “Internal Product Image”, “Product Bundle - Quote”, “FS PickList Parts & Tools” and “Action (Call Me Web Collab)” Business Components are obsolete.

Workaround:

In order to avoid SBL-DAT-00309 error message on Siebel Tools, customers need to inactivate the related Business Object Components manually by Tools.

Some of the references to the obsolete business components are still in the Siebel 8.1 SIA and HOR repository. The workaround is the same. Inactivate the Business Object Component objects for the obsolete Business Components in Tools.

Solution

Message 1

For the benefit of other users:

Issue:When you click on the "Login Name Pick Applet" Pick Applet hyperlink for the "Login Name" list column for the "Mobile Client List Applet" in Siebel Tools, you will receive these error messages:

“You do not have the required access privileges to view the detailed information about this record. Please contact your systems administrator or another member of the sales team if you would like further access to this record." (SBL-DAT-00309)

and "The drilled down item is invalid. It does not exist in the database."

We have tested this in the standard Tools and is reproducible in the standard Tools , "Types" tab when you go to to the applet>list>list column>drilldown on the pick applet. The error is not happening when you query on the same applet and drilldown on the list column >pick aplet or use the Flat Tab.
The issue is reproducible with 7.7.2.7, 7.5, 7.8 Tools in HOR and SIA .

Logged a new Change Request CR#12-1HZB5N7 to address the issue.

Thank You,
